iTunes 12 Days of Christmas App – Not Compatible with Older Generations
This year, Apple has recieved many complaints from users of their iPhones, iPod Touch’s and iPads, all because the iTunes 12 Days of Christmas App was not available to older generations of devices.
As one person has commented on the app saying:
Greedy Apple
Can’t believe they have excluded owners of older Apple products and blantantly admitted this, suggesting we should buy the newer version. They should be greateful we brought it in the first place.
As always, the app has got lots of five star reviews, 2604 (as of writing) to be precise. The app has very few two, three and four star reviews, but it has a surprisingly large number of one star reviews, 1238 as of writing this article.
It’s very disappointing that Apple has done this, especially when users can still download the free apps, music and books online.
iTunes 12 Days of Christmas 2011
As usual, Apple did their annual 21 Days of Christmas on iTunes. To celebrate the end of the year, and the start of a new year, Apple gave away music, music videos, TV shows, books and apps all for free. iTunes users could login to iTunes and download the free giveaway items, or if they had an iPod Touch, iPhone or iPad then they could download the iTunes 12 Days of Christmas Application to be notified when there is a new giveaway and download them. However, not all iDevice users could download the app since it was not available to older generations, which resulted in numerous complaints.

What does running apps on apple TV mean?
Ok so with the recent development in being able to run iOS apps on your apple tv i decided to write this post about what it means to us the users of this. This in essence can turn apple TV into a small computer, as you can see in the video you have full functionality of the keyboard and mouse. So it gives you an easy input on applications. Also if you could have applications such as, keynote, pages and numbers, this would allow you to take it on the go and show people your presentations! It as i said basically turns apple tv into a small desktop computer, Like a mac mini but only a lot smaller! If the framework to port iOS apps is available easily, i think this could take off really well and change the micro computer industry!
Apple TV running apps at 720P
So with jailbreaks the apple TV can be completly different than what the intentional use is for. Once jailbroken as you can see below, you can run Apps in 720P HD, I will be doing a followup post on the reasons to jailbreak and another post regarding what the recent deveolpment in running applications on apple tv could mean for us!
