How to Jailbreak Apple TV 2 iOS 5.1 Tethered (MAC)
REMEMBER This is a tethered jailbreak, i haven’t found this being an issue yet, However a tethered jailbreak means you must plug it in each time to your PC to reboot it. Do this at your own risk, you have been warned!
AnimateBattery Jailbreak Tweak
This is a very simple jailbreak tweak for ios. When you plug your iOS device into charge it displays the current charge as a big battery on the lock screen. This displays this but speeds through the animation to the current battery level and then goes back to 0 and starts the animation again. This can be enabled or disabled via the settings app. This doesn’t do much, it’s just a cool tweak to have. What are your thoughts? Comment below!

I0n1c has jailbroken iOS 5.1 on the iPad 2
I0n1c posted pictures to his twitter showing he has jailbroken the iPad 2 running iOS 5.1. The reason this is taking time to be released is because apple patched up the previous exploits used to iOS 5.0.1. Now the big question on everyone’s lips is. Will this be released to the public? What are your thoughts?
Why jailbreak iOS?
I have already covered the reasons on why to jailbreak the Apple TV, now its why jailbreak iOS, so this covers iPod touch, iPhone and iPad. So i am going to list the reasons and explain them, there are going to be tons of reasons but these are my main ones
- Finish off where apple left – So in iOS 4, apple said you could have Homescreen wallpapers, what if you want a live wallpaper? You can add them now
- OpenSSH – Remote view and modify every file on your iPod
- Tweaks – Modify the system
- Utilities
- Unauthorised apps – Apps apple didnt want to be on the app store
- Internet tethering
These are just a few of the reasons, what are your thoughts?
AndroidLoader gets a huge update!
AndroidLoader is a jailbreak tweak for iOS that adds a android loader for your applications, This is a massive update since the previous version, However i don’t see myself using this as the android loader seems bulky and difficult to activate as i have tried to use it. AirBlue – Jailbreak that allows you to share files over Bluetooth!
AirBlue a jailbreak tweak, allows you to share files over Bluetooth, specifically notes/Photos/Videos/Music/Contacts/Voice Memos. There is no configuration at all so once installed you are free to enjoy. It is compatible with Mac, Windows, Linux, Nokia, Android, Blackberry and other Bluetooth ready devices. You can sent and receive files simultaneously and it has sounds for incoming and outgoing files. You can import files to contacts and the photos app. Up to 1.7MB/s data transfer! iOS5 Notification Center on lock screen with “Bulletin”
One of the main reasons to get intelliscreenX is that you can view your notification center on your lock screen. This jailbreak tweak also allows you to do this. Its called “Bulletin.” The tweak itself only costs $0.99 and does a bit more than just allow you to see NC on the lock screen. It also adds a close button to notification banners at the top allowing you to close a notification and it also allows you to change the transparency. Also no new icons will be added but i can be configured in the settings application. What are your thoughts on this tweak? Comment below!
Sara – The siri alternative for non 4S devices
So by now many people have found out that iOS 5 update does not bring siri to any device apart from the 4S, so whats the work around, Spire with a siri proxy or the latest one, Sara! The downfall to a siri proxy is firstly because you need to own a 4S or know someone with a 4S and secondly the keys have to be renewed every 24 hours. Sara the siri alternative is far from ready for prime time but it looks very good and can be downloaded from the repo “http://isoftjsc.com”,What are your thoughts comment below!
iOSOpenDev now launched
For those who have been living under a rock recently. You will know that A5 Jailbreak has been launched and this has sparked many jailbreak tweaks and now mac programs for it. iOSOpenDev allows you to create NCWidgets and Toggles etc. I am currently downloading my copy of it and will provide screenshots soon!
